There is nothing like eating from the hands of someone who sprinkles large doses of love into everything he prepares. The meal that he had prepared for my fundraising luncheon was very scrumptious. Outstanding food. Presentation, portion size, price and especially taste/quality were superb. Five stars in every respect. Atmosphere and service were also superior. You cannot go wrong eating here. A true gem.
The restaurant delivered an incredible experience with authentic Jamaican flavour. The curry chicken was tender and well-seasoned, while the oxtail was rich and perfectly slow-cooked. Both dishes were complemented by rice & peas and a refreshing kale mango salad, making the meal truly memorable.

I / we loved the decor the old school soul music was definitely a ++++ and the food where do we start it was presented well tge flavors...we smelt the cooking from the parking lot so we knew the food was gonna be real (yard aka Jamaican) food. That 50 min drive to Milton was worth. I'd go back again in the very very near future. There was only 2 things that need attention: They took too long to bring our bill and also please get a portable debit/ credit machine because coming behind/beside the bar to tap is not so appealing. Otherwise Chef Courthey does not play in that kitchen. His vegetable rice is a must have side. The brown stew snapper gets 11/10 from me. I tasted the rose fettuccine pasta with oxtail and the coconut cream cheesecake ...lick your lips good. Since I can't give higher than 5 stars on here ...here's some more ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5. Nov 2. 2024
First time staying at the Best Western and found this place in the hotel. It was so nice having a different food option for dinner.
The food is excellent! We had delicious jerk chicken and oxtaîl. The rice and peas are nice and coconutty. Yummy dumplings. The service is very quick and kind. The restaurant is in the Best West Hotel Milton so there is east parking. I would choose this hotel over another one, because of the food. Highly recommended.
I have experienced Courtney Guy’s cooking many years ago and really enjoyed it, so tasteful. Last year I found out he has a restaurant in Milton where I now live for the last 3 years and what pleasant surprise. I, with family and friends have since been to his restaurant several times to enjoy the tasty oxtail, curry goat, jerk food and many other dishes. We all have a good time whenever we visit and feel so comfortable with the staff, the service and ambiance each time. I strongly recommend if you enjoy Jamaican cuisine and more.

Courtney and Journey’s Cuisine team provided outstanding catering services for a 60th birthday event. The food was authentic and delicious, presentation 10/10 and the service provided by the waiters was top notch. Will definitely be booking with him again! 🙂
My partner and I ate breakfast here close to the holidays. The atmosphere was calm, happy, & warm. The service was excellent, ensuring our dietary needs were met with positivity. The food itself is SO yummy! Especially the breakfast special. I definitely recommend!

Went here for my birthday and they gave us a private room. With all of the running around we had today there was no time to pick up a cake, I was offered a cake on the house (no other restaurant would do that!). The food was absolutely amazing and our waitress Pam was 10/10. We will be back, food can’t compare to other restaurants. I wish I had more photos of the food to share but everyone starting digging in 🙂
The best hidden gem in the GTA for a sumptuous Caribbean flavour! Never a disappointment despite your craving! The location is just off the 401 corridor and the decor is absolutely welcoming while the staff are super friendly but let’s talk about the food 🤗🤗🤗🤗. The flavours are bursting at the seam - authentic Jerk Chicken, Lemon Ginger Salmon, succulent Oxtail, Fish prepared to your palette, well season fried Chicken, tender curried Goat, Steak…. Just to name a few👍… served with sides of your choice and they do not disappoint one bit! Oh did I mention appetizers???? What can I say? You have to try it for yourself👍My family and I have had them all over our numerous trips from almost 200 kms away! It’s definitely worth the drive to Journey’s Cuisine!! Let’s talk about the amazing chef behind the scenes with his team… no other than Chef CG… always ensuring his customers have an unforgettable dining experience!!! 10/10++++
I recently dined at this restaurant with a group of three friends, and it came highly recommended by one of our own party. Despite my 90+ km drive, our expectations were exceeded in every way.First and foremost, the food was a true delight. The presentation was immaculate, and each dish was bursting with flavor. We started with a trio of appetizers: coconut shrimp, spring rolls, and calypso shrimp. They were all scrumptious and set the tone for the rest of the meal.For our main courses, we enjoyed lemon ginger salmon, oxtail, and jerk chicken. Every dish was an absolute masterpiece. The flavors were bold, and the execution was flawless. It's hard to pick a favorite because they were all so delectable.What made the experience even more special was when the chef personally came out to greet us. It was evident that they take immense pride in their craft. The waitstaff were attentive and contributed to the overall positive atmosphere.To top it off, the prices were reasonable, considering the quality and portion sizes. I can't wait to return to this restaurant, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking an extraordinary dining experience. This place truly deserves a resounding 5-star rating.
This is by far the best jerk chicken and oxtail that I have ever had! The plantain was also amazing. The staff was so kind and the chef took the special care to come out and greet us.In addition to the delicious food, we felt great supporting a business full of such kind people.I will absolutely be back!
